The Velvet Vault (“we,” “us”) collects the minimum personal information needed to run our boutique website and email program. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

What we collect

Email address — when you join the Vault email list, opt in to marketing, or sign in with Google. We use it to send order updates, vault member pricing, and (only with your consent) marketing emails about new arrivals and events.

Browsing analytics — anonymized pageviews and session data via Vercel Analytics. We never associate analytics with individual customers.

Order data — when you check out, Shopify processes your order and stores billing and payment information. The Velvet Vault itself never sees or stores your credit card number.

How we use it

• Send order confirmations and shipping updates
• Offer Vault member pricing and exclusive previews (only when you opt in)
• Improve the site based on aggregate, anonymized browsing patterns

Who else sees your data

We share data only with the third parties that make this site work:

• Shopify — processes checkout and stores order + payment data
• Resend — delivers transactional and marketing emails
• Vercel — hosts the website and provides analytics
• Google — handles optional sign-in if you choose to use it

We never sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.

Your rights

You can at any time:

• See what we have — visit Your Account while signed in
• Change marketing preferences — toggle on/off at Your Account, or click the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email
• Delete your account — at Your Account, which permanently removes your subscriber record from our system

California (CCPA) and EU (GDPR) residents have additional rights to request a copy of, correct, or delete data we hold about you. Email the address below and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Children

The Velvet Vault is intended for customers 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Updates

If this policy changes meaningfully, we’ll update the effective date above and email Vault members. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
